Milton Cox

Milton, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, got his first electric guitar in the 5th grade, and performed in his first band in the 6th grade.  In junior high after relocating to Tucson, he started writing his own music and playing in “backyard bands”.  In high school he met Scott Hamilton and started playing rhythm guitar in a band called Heavy Axe.  After high school and throughout the 80’s, he played with a number of cover bands in Arizona, but decided to become more serious about writing originals.  He spent hundreds of hours in recording studios “learning the ropes”.  In the mid-90’s he recorded a CD with some local musicians, including Robbie Lochner, and played in a variety of bands featuring originals.  His hard work started to become recognized, as between 2000 and 2004 Milton released two CD’s – Milton Level, and ML2.   Following his CD release party, he was asked to join the Wrecking Crew, with band member drummer Danny Marques.  Milton and Danny left the Wrecking Crew this year and started W2T.

Scott plays guitar and sings lead vocals.  His musical influences were Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy and Queen.  If he could eat only one food for the rest of his life, it would be Nutella (interesting, huh).  Scott’s favorite song played in W2T is "Tie  Your Mother Down".

Danny Marques

Danny plays drums and percussion.  His musical influences were Neil Peart from Rush, Rod Morgenstein from the Dregs and Animal from Sesame Street.  If he could eat only one thing for the rest of his life it would be steak.  His favorite W2T jam is Detroit Rock City.

Born in Redbank, New Jersey, Charlie moved to Tucson when he was 13 years old.    Unlike some of the other members of W2T, Charlie waited until a little later in his life before his natural talent became apparent.  He starting playing guitar when he was 20, when friend Gary Sinclair showed him how to play.  While he had no formal training, Charlie developed a ear for music as he practiced playing his favorite songs.    After some time, he started jamming with childhood friends John Sharp, Bruce Keir and Steve Jennings.   Tragically, Steve and Charlie's roommate Bruce were killed in a car accident on November 28, 1979.  That day, Charlie vowed to carry on and master the guitar in their memory, and he bought the guitar Bruce put a down payment on the day he died.  He starting playing with brother Robby and Dan Felgar, playing parties in Tucson, and then in 1981, the legendary Tucson band Roc Lochner was formed with brothers Charlie and Robby, along with other players including Troy and Ken.    Charlie played with the band until 1985.  Over the next 20 years, Charlie played in public only a few more times.  While he had many offers to join in on the music scene again, it wasn't until W2T asked him to play lead guitar that he knew it would be a great fit.
